Michelle’s Monday Motivational Story

Tell us a bit about you and your dog/s

I have 4 cavaliers right now who all run with me

Tell us a bit about your canicross experience so far…

I’ve been running for 15 years. I live with MS and started to run as I wanted to complete a race for life and my Cavalier at the time Purdy came with me. From there I got to know some of the Canicross Anglesey lot and it went from there.

Tell us about how canicross has helped you and your dog/s and your biggest achievements

Our biggest event was a marathon with TAM. Out biggest achievement as a team is being out and about running and socialising while living with a long-term condition that keeps on trying to stop me. My Cavaliers are fit, healthy, and happy.

What are your goals and plans for the future?

I’m planning on a 50 mile ultra next year as I turn 50 and will be including my dogs in the training, but not the run, with a couple of 10km, and half’s planned in for them. I plan to keep running with them until they no longer want to, just being active and having fun with them.
