As this appears to be a more common issue within our sport we just thought we would help give some tips to avoid being stuck in this position. It might not sound like a big deal having a litter of puppies is cute right? Well its mostly 8 weeks of wee and poo everywhere, the more pups, the more wee and poo! You will spend most of your time cleaning up after them. You also then need to find those puppies homes.
Are there homes?
These are questions you need to ask yourself and be aware of before you decide to even own an entire male and entire female together. You also need to ask yourself whether you have the ability to keep them apart during her season and do you really know what that involves?
Hopefully if the answer to that question is no, we will be able to give you a better idea of what to expect. Sometimes it’s easier to keep to one gender if you are not a fan of neutering/spaying.
