This has got to be one of the most debated topics when it comes to puppies. It doesn’t matter if they are going to be a pet, sporting dog or working dog – when it comes to exercise no one can agree what is best for that little bundle of cuteness.

A lot of people like to stick to the 5 minute of exercise per month of age. There is no science behind this, literally none. There is no evidence that keeping strictly to that will benefit your puppies growth, which also means there is no evidence to stay the opposite either. Yep, if you exercise your pups for longer than 5 minutes per month of age it is more thatn possible that you will not break your puppy. Shocked right? Well no, not here anyway. There is more in your puppy than bones, those squishy bits, puppy muscles, well they need exercise to build and grow stronger, as do their ligaments and tendons.
