Size guide

Because it is a natural product and impossible to achieve uniformity in each size category, there are many occasions that Buffalo Horns will appear to look the same size but be priced differently.
Just like with any chew, buying the right size for your dog is important. The lighter Buffalo Horns will usually be hollow. The heavier ones will normally be solid.

Small = Suitable for smaller dogs

Medium = Suitable for medium to large dogs

Large = Suitable for extra large dogs

In the very unlikely event that your dog isn’t interested in chewing the Buffalo Horn, try rubbing it with sandpaper or a nail file. Remember, Buffalo Horns are incredibly long-lasting so you may find your dog leaves and goes back to the horn dog chew many times before it’s finished

Safety

Make sure your dog is gnawing on the horn dog chew and not trying to break it in half. Don’t hold the horn chew for him as this may cause him to bear down on it. Leave it for him to work out how to enjoy it. Please don’t leave Buffalo Horns outside in the elements, where other creatures can get to them, to safeguard your dog’s health.

Like any dog chew, the following is very important: To avoid a choking risk, take the Buffalo Horns away from your dog once it gets worn down to a small enough size that your dog could easily swallow. Always supervise your dog when chewing the Buffalo Horns.
